In case you didn't notice....

I am not always a good blogger, nor am I a good housekeeper, not always the best wife or teacher or friend or aunt or Christian or mother, but I do know this about myself. There is a long list of other things in which I am lacking so let's just get that out in the open so if I don't respond to your call or e-mail or if you stop by and my house smells like shoes or I'm frazzled, you might forgive me since I REALLY DO KNOW THIS and I do try.

I started summer school this week and I have 4 very cute kids but two of them are occasional biters, scratchers and pinchers. Another one has already shown some behaviors (to put it niceley) towards her fellow classmates and this last kid, the cutest little guy, takes a lot of abuse and smiles a lot and makes my day when he holds his plastic doll, slowly twists the arm off, then giggles at our attempts to amend the amputation. My paras are first rate, for which I am truly grateful.

We spent a short 4 days in Florida and the girls had a blast digging in the sand and seeing all the family. Personally, I had a great time eating fresh seafood and seeing old friends. My "high school" friends have been my friends for over 30 years now and it never ceases to amaze me how we just pick right back up where we were like we see each other weekly. I love you Laura!

Ellen! Go easy on yourself, would you? You are doing an amazing job! If the laundry and dishes get done occasionally, your children get hugged and fed regularly, and you pause occasionally to tell your husband that you love him, well, then you are on top of it!!! And I will personally poke the eye of the guy who says otherwise! -Shawn

Wow. You have 4 students for summer school?! In our sped preschool summer classes, there are up to 13 students per class, we teach double sessions, and have only one instructional assistant per class. These are some of the many reasons I don't teach summer school!!
